Orites wind farm Paphos Cyprus

Welcome to the awful new wind farm in The Paphos district of Cyprus - the wind turbines can be seen and heard for miles around. The orites wind farm has approx 40 turbines at the moment but more are due to follow. The Orites wind farm is very close to Secret valley and Aphrodite Hills golf resorts, and is the first wind farm in Cyprus. It was only started last year! The Orites wind farm is the largest wind farm in The Eastern Mediterranean. Surely solar energy would have been a better option for a country with little wind but over 300 days of sunshine a year...
